2008 fantasy football's best offenses

By Doug Darroch. A quarterback has had a great season 20 times since the beginning of the fantasy football era (2000). Which Offensive Coordinators run the friendliest offenses, for QBs to excel for your fantasy football team?

Tom Moore: Offensive Coordinator, Indianapolis Colts: Moore's offense is based on calling a play and then having Peyton Manning change the play at the line of scrimmage while Moore grabs a hot dog. It doesn't matter what Moore calls, Manning is just going to change it anyways...

2008 NFL preview: NFC North

The NFC North is a division that has some of the oldest rivalries in the NFL. The Bears, Lions, and Packers are among the original NFL franchises, and each have a storied history.

The Minnesota Vikings did not join the league until the 1960s, but assimilated well into the division’s rivalries. This year marks the first time since 1992 that a certain Hall-of-Fame QB in Green Bay will not be taking the field.

The Packers have been the dominant team in the division since Favre became their quarterback. The Packers won seven divisional titles during his tenure, and they won over 60 percent of their divisional games.

Sure, in 1999 Steve Young and Dan Marino walked away from the game together.  Barry Sanders and John Elway both retired after the 1998 NFL season. There are plenty of instances where mega stars have retired in the same year.  Now, let’s consider who the NFL has lost since 2007 NFL Season ended:

2008 fantasy football: "Magical" Third-Year WRs

By Nick Lord.
A select few WRs have immediate impact, but for the most part, it’s that “magical” third year in the league that has traditionally shown whether a WR has what it takes to make it in the NFL.

Most years knowing this will allow you to get some steals that other owners might not consider draft worthy, a/k/a Braylon Edwards from a season ago. Other notable WR’s that blossomed during their third year include Terrell Owens, Joey Galloway, Keyshawn Johnson and Jerricho Cotchery as recently as 2006.

Who are they in 2008?
